Minor adventures
Apr. 1st, 2024 12:39 amToday I felt like a small expedition, so I sent an inquiry about a tea organizer I'd been eyeing. The person got back to me quickly!
So I set out, picked up the thing without too much Traffic Shenanigans, and still had plenty of evening left.
So I figured I was closer to IKEA than usual...
Unfortunately, I both arrived with less than an hour remaining open (Easter) and they have swapped the upstairs carts from the ones that resembled a shopping cart except without a basket, to abominable plastic grandma market trolleys that you drag behind you. No place for your tote bag, and no support.
I speed-ran the upstairs anyway. I got through the downstairs before closing. I'm not going to repeat my mistakes.
I (somehow) still had energy, and had recently run out of gummy candy. I stopped at the mall, after a drive that included someone honking at me to go right on red with an oncoming vehicle. I flipped them off.
I have learned that gummies with a powdered coating go in a different bag than the other ones, especially the shiny ones. I stocked up for the quarter.
I called Nora on the way home. Ribbed cotton is back in style, 90s bitches! As we discussed this, I saw a traffic sign warning me of a Situation ahead. I managed to get into the exit lane to take surface streets to snag dinner and go home. (Where I waited to eat the food, because the exhaustion had kicked in, and I can't always eat when physically exhausted.) But once I chugged enough liquid I revived substantially. Then loaded the dishwasher, because I can sometimes see the future, and I foresaw myself not wanting to do that just before bedtime. Belovedest found a few more utensils that could fit, and started it.
After that I helped Ev figure out couch options. There were too many and she was freezing up. So I helped her compare.
Belovedest and I played clicky-games and watched sports and listened to Doof back episodes. I played with the foot-fidgeter, because somehow I still had energy.
Tomorrow I will need to be awake at a specific time, and Tuesday is immunotherapy. This week is pretty much jammed with appointments of various types.
