The man who sells the scary seafood (mostly crawfish, but also other things, when he happens to have access to them) was also there, and today, he had something I'd never seen him have before: a tank full of wee little octopuses. Octopi. Thingies. Anyway, he was selling them, live, for eight dollars a pound, and they were swirling and skirling around there in the water, being small and cute and equipped with many, many limbs. I told him that I didn't particularly want to buy and eat an octopus, but I'd like to pet one. He said to go right ahead.
